FAQ
1. What is StageBugs Playhouse?
StageBugs Playhouse is a theatre and creativity program for kids ages 4–17. Through acting, writing, leadership, and performance, children build confidence, teamwork, and life skills while having fun.
2. How does the StageBugs journey work?
Our program is built around “bug stages” — Caterpillar, Grasshopper, Ladybug, Butterfly, and Firefly. Each stage represents growth, helping kids develop new skills step by step until they’re ready to shine as confident Fireflies.
3. What ages can participate?
StageBugs Playhouse is open to children and teens ages 4–17, with age-appropriate groups and classes.
4. Is the first class really free?
Yes! Every new student can try their first class for free before officially enrolling. It’s our way of letting families experience the StageBugs difference.
5. How much is registration?
There is a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $29.99 per student. This covers enrollment processing, welcome materials, and access to StageBugs programs.
6. Do you offer refunds?
Since our programs and donations are service- and participation-based, all sales are final and non-refundable. If StageBugs cancels a class, we will provide a class credit for future use.
7. What is the Brave Beetles program?
Brave Beetles is our initiative for children battling cancer. Through your $99 donation, we provide tablets so these brave kids can join StageBugs classes remotely — whether from home or the hospital.
8. How can I donate to Brave Beetles?
Simply click the “Donate Now” button on our Brave Beetles page. 100% of your donation goes directly toward providing tablets for children in need.
9. Where are StageBugs classes held?
Our main location is South Tampa (Brucie Klays Dance Studio), and we also host after-school camps and online classes for added flexibility.
10. Who teaches the classes?
StageBugs Playhouse instructors are real actors, coaches, and theatre professionals who are passionate about working with children and nurturing their creativity.
11. Do you offer advanced opportunities?
Yes! Students who progress through the StageBugs journey can join our Firefly Academy, where they receive professional-level training, headshots, on-camera experience, and even audition opportunities.
12. How do I enroll my child?
Click “Enroll Now” on our website, complete the registration, and pay the one-time fee. From there, you’ll be guided on how to schedule your child’s first (free) class.
